Week 2 & 3 Update

Group Summary:

In today’s meeting, we assigned tasks to each team member to move the project forward. This week, our focus is to create a sketch of the parking layout, which will be used to build a physical version for software testing. We will also begin integrating the parking sensors. Additionally, we’ll explore LTSpice and the database to test a more comprehensive system for the parking lot, identifying potential errors and issues.

Data Engineers: Kim, Milani, Azi, Benjamin, & Jørn Erik

This week, our team worked on designing the UML diagrams and system architecture. By mapping these out, we outlined how the different parts of the system will function together and how users will interact with the parking system. We’ve also begun implementing the control logic for the parking system using Arduino. Now that the coding and initial setup are complete, our next step is to assemble the components and test the entire system.

Mechanical Engineers: Shanel & Meron

We’ve been focusing on drawing both 2D and 3D sketches for the project and have started assembling the structure. Our plan is to conduct elevator testing until next week, at which point we will begin integrating the software and physical components for comprehensive testing.

These are the diagrams we have been working on:
