Meron:
This week, we successfully presented our project and showed that Phase 1 is complete. It was great to see how far we have come and to demonstrate that our prototype works as planned. After the presentation, we began brainstorming and discussing ideas for Phase 2.
As part of the mechanical engineering team, our focus will now shift to developing a completely new design for the motorcycle. This version will have thinner wheels, a steering mechanism, and a hydraulic brake system to improve balance and overall performance. It’s important to mention that this will not be the same design used in Phase 2, but rather a more advanced version that represents our final concept.
The final design will be created in SolidWorks and delivered as CAD files, showing what the finished product could look like. I’ve already started working on this final design as you can see here down on these pictures:

Salim:
This week we had our presentation, and it went well. We know there are things we need to improve and Things we did good. I and the Group have been working a lot on planning what we will focus on the upcomming weeks. Some of the topics we will go through include:
- Calculations for creating the stabilizing wheel,
- Building the wheel,
- Writing code/algorithms to make the wheel stabilize itself,
We agreed that before we move on to that part, we need to complete the full control system for moving right, left, forward, and backward. I will work on the Controller and aim to Complete it. I also plan to fix the tilt mode (with arrows), as well as the buttons and joystick control. That wasn’t possible and necessary last time, but we’re trying again. Next week I will be away quite a bit with my internship and working with Karoline, but I’ll make sure to get it done.
Muhammed Ø:
This week, I worked together with the rest of the group to plan the next phase of our project. Since we have completed all the A requirments, the next step is to focus on the B requirements and develop a clear plan for how to approach them.
the next phase of the project will focus on the self balancing aspect of the motorcycle. To support this we plan to meet with one of our previous physics teachers we had during TRESS to get guidance on the necessary calculations for the moment wheel and stability control.
In addition, we aim to complete the steering system within next week. My responsibility will be to write the code that receives the turning signals for the motorcycle and to connect and integrate the servo motor that controls the steering.
